Senior Specialist, Talent Insights & Reporting (Workday)

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Specialist, Talent Insights & Reporting to join their Talent Operations, Systems and Insights team. This role involves transforming people data into strategic business intelligence and acting as the lead architect for the People & Culture (P&C) reporting ecosystem. The specialist will empower P&C teams, executive leadership, and strategic partners with accurate and high-impact insights for critical decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Spearhead initiatives to increase the adoption and utilization of P&C reporting tools and insights.,Build learning personas and tailored offerings to upskill P&C staff and foster 'data champions'.,Support the development of an Insights roadmap focused on automation and self-service.,Act as a consultant to P&C Heads of Region and business leaders, identifying analytical trends.,Implement an intake framework to tie data requests to specific business problems or OKRs.,Provide technical guidance to Analysts and promote knowledge sharing and high-quality system standards.,Review ServiceNow trends to identify reporting friction points and implement self-service solutions (e.g., Dashboards, Discovery Boards).,Gather requirements from stakeholders, propose scalable reporting solutions, and ensure reporting offerings meet business needs.,Expand security roles and build calculated fields to enhance report functionality as needed.,Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for new people initiatives.,Collaborate with Corporate Data and FP&A teams to bridge Workday and Looker dashboards.,Research and assess new reporting tools and AI opportunities for people analytics.,Define and monitor Insights best practices, including maintaining functional and requirement documents and ensuring TSI audit compliance.,Provide support for integration report change requests or new integration builds with the Information Systems (IS) team.,Perform advanced root cause analysis for complex system errors and implement sustainable fixes.

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of hands-on experience specifically within the Workday ecosystem.,Expert-level proficiency in creating complex Calculated Fields, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and nBox reporting.,Proven track record of building and managing high-stakes reports (e.g., Board of Directors, Sustainability (ESG), Annual Reports).,Deep knowledge of configuring custom reports and handling large data sets.,History of identifying system inefficiencies and implementing sustainable fixes based on best practices.,Experience working in agile/pod environments, acting as the 'Product Owner' for People Data.,Experience working within or closely with a People function, with a deep understanding of HR lifecycles (Recruitment, Turnover, Compensation, Diversity metrics).,Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Data Science, or a relevant combination of training and experience (preferred).,Background as an HR Business Analyst or Data Analyst (preferred).,Experience with People Analytics tools (Prism, Looker, Tableau, etc.) (preferred).,Workday Pro Certification (Reporting) (preferred).
