Description

This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow's Discovery and Service Mapping solutions to enhance IT service delivery. The engineer will automate asset tracking, map service dependencies, and maintain CMDB integrity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to convert infrastructure data into actionable insights for proactive incident management and strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Design, configure, and deploy ServiceNow Discovery (MID Server) and Service Mapping solutions to automate the identification of IT assets, applications, and service dependencies.,Troubleshoot discovery/mapping issues, resolve data inconsistencies, and ensure compliance with RBC's IT governance standards.,Collaborate with stakeholders and support teams to align solutions with business objectives.,Document technical processes, create training materials, and mentor junior team members.,3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping modules.,Experience identifying, investigating, and resolving Discovery issues with working knowledge of UNIX server, Windows server, and network gear.,In-depth knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, IP networks, subnetting, and network devices, and virtualization environments configurations, i.e. – Hyper-V, VMware.,In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow reconciliation process and identifying the frameworks that are related to ServiceNow mapping.,In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow discovery patterns and scripts, especially PowerShell and JavaScript.,Experience with ITIL v4 frameworks, particularly in Configuration Management and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM).
