Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking

The Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking at CIBC will join the Commercial Banking team to develop and implement comprehensive financial solutions for clients. This role focuses on driving business growth within the commercial segments, managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial banking clients, and proactively seeking new business opportunities. The manager will act as a strategic partner to Canadian businesses, providing expert advice and flexible solutions to help them achieve their financial objectives, including financing growth, managing cash flow, improving efficiency, and mitigating risk.

What We're Looking For

Develop new client relationships through business development activities, leveraging referral sources, existing clients, and centers of influence.,Actively monitor and manage client relationships, understanding their goals, purpose, and business status.,Collaborate with internal partners to connect clients with suitable opportunities.,Build a strong profile in the local business community to foster effective working relationships.,Proactively assess client needs and propose financial and strategic solutions.,Interact with assigned clients to facilitate prompt responses to questions, inquiries, or issues.,Apply industry/company knowledge to develop client/prospect proposals.,Demonstrate experience in Commercial or Business Banking.,Possess strong business development skills.,Have a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis.,Experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients with credit needs and/or complex cash management requirements.,Ability to take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results.

Ideal Candidate

Degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.,Experience in Commercial or Business Banking.,Experience managing credit quality of commercial banking clients.
