Senior Product Manager, Mutual Funds, Product Development & Management

Description

This role supports product innovation, development, shelf management, and strategic priorities for CIBC's Mutual Funds offering. Responsibilities include developing and implementing new product initiatives, managing product enhancements, and overseeing the product lineup by considering sales, client feedback, market data, and the competitive landscape. The position requires collaboration with various teams and provides analytical support to optimize product mix, enhance client experience, and achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in product development and management, strategic planning, and project management, preferably in asset management.,Lead the development and management of the CIBC Asset Management Mutual Funds product offer.,Provide investment insight for developing market-leading products.,Serve as the key lead in developing and implementing new products or enhancements.,Develop business cases and recommendations.,Collaborate with the Product Research and Positioning team on product development content, positioning, and competitive analysis.,Maintain deep knowledge of the product offering across platforms, channels, and product features.,Deliver the implementation of enhancements to the CIBC Asset Management Mutual Funds product offer.,Analyze business needs and objectives and participate in the development and implementation of strategic product plans, including ongoing operational management and support.,Manage key stakeholders such as legal, tax, business management, regulatory, and risk.,Assemble and manage a project team composed of internal and external representatives.,Provide ongoing management in the delivery of a product or service, ensuring consistency with CIBC's values and coordination with related areas.,Maintain comprehensive competitive information on market penetration, product capabilities, and initiatives.,Work with internal and external teams to communicate product information and key positioning.,Understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends, and develop recommendations, often with minimal direction.,Demonstrate well-developed management and leadership skills to achieve results within a matrix organization.,Possess creative skills to identify innovative alternatives or opportunities.,Meet business objectives by managing relationships and working effectively with internal and external partners.,Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in business planning with extensive financial and investment modeling capabilities.,In-depth knowledge of mutual fund products.,Strategic planning skills to establish and coordinate complex assignments and projects.,3-5 years of investment product development experience.,Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).,Expertise with Morningstar Direct.,University degree in Business or Finance.,CFA candidate or charter holder preferred.,Other industry accreditations an asset (e.g., CSC, CFP, IFIC).
