Senior Product Designer, Financial Operations

Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its Financial Operations team. This role involves designing powerful tools for internal teams (Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Risk, Onboarding Consultants) to gain a comprehensive understanding of merchants, ensuring efficient and effective setup with optimal solutions. The designer will define vision through iterative design, transform complex workflows into simple, user-friendly interfaces, identify opportunities for value delivery, and collaborate with engineers and product managers to create exceptional customer experiences. The position requires leading design projects, applying systems thinking, driving user-centricity through research and data, and fostering a collaborative design culture.

What We're Looking For

Lead design projects autonomously, facilitating design reviews and working sessions to deliver optimal solutions.,Transform abstract concepts into specific, useful, and delightful product features.,Explore and integrate AI and emerging technologies to develop new design approaches.,Apply UX expertise and a deep understanding of design systems, UI design, and micro-interactions to design holistic, simple, elegant, and user-friendly systems and interfaces.,Utilize deterministic automation and AI to streamline operations, capable of performing simple tasks autonomously and supporting human-driven workflows for complex decisions.,Ensure consistency across platforms by leveraging the current design system and contributing to its continuous improvement.,Draw insights from research and data to create tangible solutions.,Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing.,Act as a positive role model and advocate for design within the Lightspeed organization.

Ideal Candidate

At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.,Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale and journey.,Strong aesthetic skills to elevate the visual identity of brands.,Skilled in service design practices.,Curiosity to continuously evolve design process by leveraging AI tools for user-centered products.,Applied experience across various digital and physical manifestations, including responsive web, native applications, and emerging technologies.,Acute self-awareness and deep empathy for both customers and team goals.,Deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.,Fluency in English as a working language.
