The Senior Private Banking Associate supports one or more Private Banking Advisor teams, focusing on delivering exceptional service to Private Banking clients by handling transactional banking needs and inquiries. This role also involves promoting and selling CIBC products and services, assisting clients with lending, borrowing, investing, and commercial lending, and managing sales targets.
Provide exceptional service to Private Banking clients by assisting with transactional banking needs and responding to queries.,Promote and sell CIBC products and services to clients, meeting established sales targets.,Assist clients with overall banking needs including lending, borrowing, investing, or commercial lending.,Greet customers, arrange contact with staff, and liaise with CIBC partners for problem resolution.,Complete complex investigations for client account activity.,Prepare customized products, packages, or information for customer meetings.,Interact with internal and external service providers (e.g., lawyers, CMHC, mortgage brokers).,Support Private Banker in portfolio management, reviewing documentation for compliance.,Review client portfolios and financial needs holistically to identify product and service opportunities.,Conduct less complex portfolio reviews with clients and introduce new solutions.,Understand wealth generation by small business enterprises.,Increase retention and consolidation of CIBC Private Wealth Management clients' business.,Provide consistent service excellence at all client touch points.,Perform risk assessment and financial analysis on less complex High Net Worth clients.,Ensure recommendations and actions adhere to Bank risk standards.,Assist with special marketing or client events.,Manage a diary system for renewals (e.g., GICs), fixed deposits, and currency deposits.,Ensure daily filing is up to date, including Mutual Fund trades.,Provide credit underwriting by providing ratings, conducting credit checks, and preparing credit reports.,Confirm employment and personal information from applications.,Submit credit applications for approval.
Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills (setting and meeting realistic time frames, operating independently while keeping manager informed).,Current accreditation and good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID).,Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, requiring tact, diplomacy, and discretion.,Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.,Client-focused approach to finding solutions.,Lives CIBC values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
