The Wealth Investment Office (WIO) at TD Wealth is looking for a Senior Portfolio Management Consultant. This role involves partnering with Financial Planners, Practice Management, TD Asset Management, and Private Wealth Management to enhance the implementation and delivery of professional investment management, aiming to improve client outcomes. Key activities include driving adoption of best practices, coaching advisors, and developing investment guidance.
Drive adoption of Professional Investment Management across advisors and platforms, influencing consistent behaviors and standards.,Lead high-impact coaching engagements that result in measurable changes (e.g., stronger portfolio consistency, improved client investment experience, improved practice efficiency).,Create and evolve model portfolios and portfolio construction guidance (asset allocation philosophy, security selection criteria, rebalancing triggers) to support different needs.,Build and maintain strong partnerships across the business (field leadership and key internal partners) to deliver integrated programs and materials.,Deliver one-on-one consulting on Professional Investment Management aligned to the Financial Planner Guide/key elements, supporting Financial Planners and field leaderships.,Prepare advisors for client meetings through investment education, WIO publications, and portfolio reviews.,Conduct annual book reviews, model reviews, and client portfolio reviews.,Provide regular WIO updates to the field (progress updates, how to leverage WIO publications to build trust and business, wealth management knowledge sharing), at least quarterly.,Run monthly touchpoints with field leaders and internal stakeholders (e.g., TDAM, Practice Management and other field partners).,Deliver training (proposal tool training; FP new hire training; Elite Financial Planner training as applicable).,Create projects with TD wealth partners that align with business needs; able to implement and execute and deliver measurable outcomes.
Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics (or similar).,Investment industry accreditation (e.g., CFP, CIM).,CFA completed or in progress is an asset; financial planning designation or post‑graduate degree preferred.,10+ years of experience in financial services with strong market knowledge and experience working with advisors and mass affluent clientele.,Strong investment and product knowledge on different types of investment vehicles (Stocks, Bonds, Mutual funds, ETFs and Cash etc.).
Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics or similar); Post-graduate degree preferred.
