Description

Epic Games is seeking a Senior Online Programmer to join the Fortnite Online team. This role involves implementing online functionalities for various Fortnite game modes (Battle Royale, LEGO, Rocket Racing, Disney experiences) and creating tools and APIs for creators using Unreal Engine Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The programmer will also contribute to improving Unreal Engine by developing new tools and APIs for AAA game developers to integrate online features. The position focuses on client and dedicated server code across multiple platforms, including desktop, consoles (Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo), and mobile devices, and will contribute to the future metaverse architecture for UE6. The role requires close collaboration with back-end service and game teams to ensure robust and secure systems.

What We're Looking For

Design and create new client APIs for online features across various Fortnite experiences.,Effectively utilize online services within Fortnite across all platforms and ensure certification requirements are met.,Ensure Fortnite operates well for players and online service usage is resilient at scale.,Assist in diagnosing and resolving real-time issues.,Design and create new tools and APIs in Unreal Engine to facilitate online feature implementation by developers.,Write documentation explaining technical requirements and designs.,Support the Unreal Engine developer community.
