Description

KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager for its Trade & Customs team to provide advisory services to clients globally. The role involves working with clients on customs legislation, reducing trade and customs costs, and addressing barriers to international trade. The successful candidate will deal with compliance issues, customs valuation, origin verification, duty relief applications, and customs audits.

What We're Looking For

Lead strategic engagements,Build the practice through business development and people development,Perform technical research on customs issues,Draft memos, opinion letters, and various reports,Conduct customs duties analysis and identify savings opportunities for clients,Execute current state assessments and gap analysis for clients, identifying best practices,Maintain knowledge of current and pending import/export regulations and policy,Assist clients in collecting information for customs requests and drafting responses to verifications and audits from the Canadian Border Services Agency

Ideal Candidate

At least 7 years of experience with international import and export regulatory compliance,Demonstrated expertise in customs issue resolution, preferably in a professional services environment,Ability to perform technical analysis of customs issues,In-depth knowledge of the Customs Act, Customs Tariff, and other relevant legislation
