Description

The Senior Manager, Risk Advice, Business Risk Oversight at RBC US Wealth Management will provide risk advice and guidance for credit, lending, and cash management products and capabilities. This role involves applying professional judgment to complex business risk scenarios, collaborating with stakeholders, and finding strategic solutions within RBC's risk appetite. The individual will assist in evaluating regulatory, legal, operational, and other risk considerations, help develop policy requirements, design processes and controls, and guide business partners through formal risk governance.

What We're Looking For

Assist product managers and business owners in evaluating and synthesizing regulatory, legal, operational, and other risk considerations to find strategic solutions.,Help business partners develop policy requirements and design supporting processes and controls, including field procedures, supervisory procedures, and system controls.,Provide guidance to business partners in navigating business line and Enterprise formal risk governance requirements.,Lead and participate in risk- and business-driven projects.,Collaborate with Business Risk Oversight colleagues and functional groups such as Compliance, Law Group, and Enterprise Group Risk.

Ideal Candidate

Must-have: 6+ years' experience in a strategic business risk/compliance or product management role focused on credit/lending/cash management products/solutions and risk management, preferably within a wealth management environment.,Must-have: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.,Must-have: Exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to deescalate conflict and reach consensus.,Must-have: Effective organizational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate where appropriate.,Must-have: Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or able to obtain within 180 days of employment.,Nice-to-have: JD, MBA or another advanced degree.,Nice-to-have: Securities/broker-dealer risk, compliance, legal, product manager/business experience.,Nice-to-have: Series 7, 66 and 24 registrations.
