This role involves overseeing a team of analysts responsible for monitoring the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) portfolio, managing and enhancing RESL policies, and leading regulatory initiatives to ensure effective implementation and ongoing compliance. The Senior Manager will also be accountable for developing and maintaining policy and regulatory documentation, as well as establishing and supervising business processes, risk controls, and key performance metrics to ensure operational success.
Oversee a team of Analysts responsible for monitoring the RESL portfolio and managing RESL policies, including enhancements and the rollout of policy changes.,Lead regulatory initiatives to ensure their effective implementation and ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.,Develop and maintain policy and regulatory documentation to facilitate clear and precise communication.,Establish and supervise business processes, risk controls, and key performance metrics to ensure operational success.,Convey complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing, to interpret, analyze, and articulate conclusions.,Provide credit risk management expertise and guidance to business partners.,Manage multiple and competing priorities, ensuring timely delivery of projects.,Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.,Identify and analyze problems, recommend and develop effective solutions, and support reporting and analysis using statistical knowledge.,Develop risk segmentation strategies for acquisition and automated decision systems.,Review monthly portfolio reports, determine key risk trends, and provide commentary to the Senior Director, Real Estate Secured Lending.
Real estate lending expertise, including experience and working knowledge of real estate lending policies and practices, both internally and across the industry.,Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Act, OSFI B-20, insurer) related to Real Estate Secured Lending, and ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
