Senior Manager, Personal Banking Financial Control

Description

The Senior Manager, Financial Control is a strategic role acting as the Bank's 'second line of defense' within the Personal Banking Financial Control team. This position involves providing accounting advisory for new products and initiatives, implementing effective processes, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information related to Personal Financial Product lines such as mortgages, auto lending, and personal lending.

What We're Looking For

Accounting Advisory: Assess accounting implications of new initiatives and implement new accounting policies.,Financial Reporting: Review quarterly financial disclosures, perform variance analysis, and investigate abnormalities.,Financial Infrastructure: Establish infrastructure and processes for Personal Banking products to ensure accurate financial reporting and risk management.,Financial Control Environment: Monitor the environment, perform Standard of Documentation (SOD) reviews, follow up on queries, and update SOX controls.,Data Strategy and Projects: Lead data strategy projects and ad hoc initiatives to enhance data transparency and accuracy for financial reporting and business analysis.,Process Transformation: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes, assisting business with implementation.,Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in projects including accounting policy implementation and rectifying SOX deficiencies.
