Senior Manager, Performance, Strategy and Planning

Description

This role is responsible for driving outcomes for the General Insurance (GI) Journey, including managing its performance, developing strategic initiatives, and ensuring progress against the GI Journey's strategic priorities. The position reports to the VP, Executive Journey Product Owner.

What We're Looking For

Ownership and continuous refinement of the multi-year GI Journey strategic roadmap.

Monitoring and reporting on the value delivered by the Journey, tracking success metrics and OKRs, and recommending strategic pivots as needed.

Facilitating OKR management, including annual KR development and monthly/quarterly tracking/reporting.

Managing journey inputs into the business plan, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate reflection of costs, benefits, and other inputs.

Working with Product Group Owners (PGOs) to assess priorities, define capacity and funding needs, and build business cases and cost-benefit analyses.

Aligning with partners and PGOs on the annual journey budget, managing monthly budget costs, and monitoring actual vs. plan.

Ensuring stakeholder alignment and supporting governance processes.

Facilitating knowledge sharing and team cohesion.

Acting as an advisor to executives.

Driving improvements and innovative solutions.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree.

5-10 years relevant General Insurance experience.

Strong financial acumen.

Agile related delivery experience (an asset).

Actuarial designation, or working towards one (an asset).

Thought leader and strategic thinker with a future-focused mindset on driving business success and profitability.

High level of commercial acumen and proactive approach to delivering on customer and business needs.

Effective influencer, partner, and collaborator, able to bridge across different teams and functions to deliver quality results.
