This role within Human Resources (HR) focuses on the newly formed People Risk and Regulatory Compliance Oversight 2nd Line of Defense team. The Senior Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a data-driven risk reporting framework to monitor and report on the enterprise's People Risk profile. This includes supporting the Functions Compliance Oversight program (FCOP) for the HR global function, staying updated on global regulatory oversight for People Risks, and ensuring appropriate escalation and visibility of risk events, emerging risks, and trends to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Design, establish, and implement an enterprise-wide People Risk reporting framework aligned with RBC's People Risk profile.
Develop standardized risk reporting templates and dashboards consistent with Operational Risk Management Framework and FCOP.
Create methodologies for consolidating and aggregating risk data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
Provide guidance on structuring and interpreting risk data for effective storytelling and clear insights.
Prepare quarterly People Risk Profile reporting submissions for the Enterprise Operational Risk Report.
Support reporting requests from regional Boards and Committees.
Deliver data-driven insights and trend analysis for thematic reviews and emerging risks.
Ensure reporting consistency, accuracy, and timeliness with appropriate commentary.
Lead the development of a risk appetite framework for People Risk, including related metrics (KRIs/KPIs) and thresholds.
Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with 1st and 2nd LoD stakeholders in KRI/KPI development and monitoring.
Monitor metric performance and recommend adjustments to maintain an accurate risk profile.
Collaborate with HR Centre of Expertise (COE's), HR Business Partners, Talent Partners, Talent Data Management Analytics (TMDA) teams, Enterprise Risk Management teams, and business partners.
Promote a risk culture and provide effective oversight and challenge to 1st LoD partners.
At least 5+ years prior work experience in GRM, risk management and/or regulatory compliance with a governance/reporting focus.
Strong knowledge and experience with Enterprise Risk Frameworks and governance structures, including Operational Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance management programs; tools and practices.
Proven track record on data reporting, operational risk analytics, or business intelligence within the financial services industry.
Demonstrated experience in reporting processes, data visualizations, and building executive reporting.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and present complex data in a clear, concise format for executive audiences.
5+ years of hands-on experience with data analytics tools.
