Senior Manager, Finance – Developer Productivity

This role involves leading the Finance pillar within a technology portfolio focused on developer productivity across RBC. The Senior Manager will manage end-to-end financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, impact analysis of developer productivity, and executive reporting for a portfolio that supports all RBC lines of business. The role leverages modern data and AI tools to enhance efficiency and provide financial insights.

What We're Looking For

Lead annual budget planning and align with enterprise cost optimization targets.,Build and maintain rolling 18–24 month forecasts, integrating operational and value realization.,Monitor and communicate financial risk exposures, variance drivers, and corrective actions.,Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, Power Query, Python-based analytics) for automated forecast modeling, scenario analysis, and anomaly detection.,Maintain and refine capacity models for strategic workforce planning.,Leverage data analytics platforms to model workforce costs (FTE, contractor, cloud spend) in real time.,Produce monthly and quarterly financial packages, executive-ready dashboards, and commentary for senior leadership.,Translate financial data into operational recommendations with business impact.,Design and maintain self-service analytics using AI-driven tools, advanced data visualization, and predictive analytics.,Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory reporting standards, and cost allocation rules.,Collaborate with Vendor Management on accruals, invoice validation, and contract alignment.,Automate high-effort manual processes using AI and scripting tools; implement data validation and anomaly detection.,Act as strategic advisor to technology and product leaders on financial matters.,Drive transparency and accountability by embedding financial rigor into planning cycles.,Support business case development and ROI evaluation for large-scale tech investments.,Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to translate financial models into actionable insights and partner on cost implications of AI and data infrastructure investments.,3+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Business Management in a large enterprise.,Proven track record owning budgets >$50M across technology or operations portfolios.,Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; expected proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.,Proficiency with AI-assisted financial analytics tools (e.g., LLM Models, Python, R, or equivalent) for custom financial models, automated reporting, and advanced analysis.,Strong understanding of workforce costing, including contractors and cloud-based spend.,Experience partnering cross-functionally with HR, vendor management, and engineering teams.

Ideal Candidate

3+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Business Management in a large enterprise.,Proven track record owning budgets >$50M across technology or operations portfolios.,Advanced Excel and PowerPoint required; proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools expected.,Proficiency with AI-assisted financial analytics tools (e.g., LLM Models, Python, R, or equivalent).,Strong understanding of workforce costing, including contractors and cloud-based spend.,Experience partnering cross-functionally with HR, vendor management, and engineering teams.
