The Operational Data, Information & AI (ODIA) team within Personal & Commercial Operations (PCO) at Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a Data Product Owner. This role involves driving the ownership of analytical and business intelligence (BI) solutions to support decision-making across PCO. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between business leaders, data engineering, BI, and data science teams, translating business needs into scalable data and AI solutions, defining metric logic, gathering requirements, setting priorities, and ensuring the adoption and effective lifecycle management of data and AI products.
Own and evolve the consolidated roadmap for data and AI solutions across PCO, ensuring alignment with business priorities and partner needs.,Capture business requirements and translate them into clear user stories and delivery specifications for relevant squads.,Guide the development of governed metric layers, curated data models, and production-grade data pipelines.,Contribute to project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring initiatives for timely delivery.,Champion adoption and continuous improvement by embedding solutions into business routines, measuring impact, and iterating based on feedback.,Serve as a connector across business and technical stakeholders, fostering relationships, driving alignment, and resolving issues.,Ensure trusted delivery by upholding governance standards, validating metric consistency, and aligning outputs to the enterprise data ecosystem.,Deep knowledge of operational data, reporting, and metrics in Personal & Commercial Operations.,Proven hands-on experience delivering analytical and BI solutions, including building dashboards, designing reporting logic, and developing/enhancing analytical/data pipelines.,Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with data engineering, BI, and data science teams.,Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and support adoption.,Ability to define and maintain the logic behind metrics and KPIs, ensuring top-down alignment.,Strong prioritization and organizational skills to manage competing demands and deadlines.,Basic understanding of change management principles, including stakeholder engagement and addressing resistance.,Experience supporting organizational change initiatives focused on minimizing disruption and maximizing user acceptance.
