Senior Manager, Capital Markets Accounting

Description

The Capital Markets Accounting team at CIBC provides strategic advice and financial support to the Capital Markets Trading businesses. As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of professionals responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing capital markets financial information to ensure the accuracy of financial records for various trading portfolios and structured products. You will manage month-end accounting and reporting processes and collaborate with other internal groups to resolve variances. This role operates under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 1-3 days per week on-site.

What We're Looking For

Oversee setup, maintenance, and reporting for multiple trading portfolios.,Act collaboratively with business partners and stakeholders.,Provide oversight and advisory for financial reporting processes, continuously enhancing, automating, and standardizing them.,Support the Management Team in improving employee engagement, business partner satisfaction, and shareholder value.,Provide guidance, training, and development to analysts.

Ideal Candidate

Demonstrated experience and understanding of accounting concepts and processes for complex financial instruments, interest rate products, fixed income and money market products, cross-currency derivatives, commodities, options, and other derivative transactions.,Current accreditation and good standing in a CPA.,CFA designation is an asset.,Critical, analytical thinking skills and sound judgment.,Ability to embrace and champion change.,Enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.,Confident in communicating detailed information impactfully.,Proactively seek new opportunities.,Live CIBC values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
