The Senior Manager, Business Risk supports the Director, Business Risk Management in developing and maintaining robust capabilities for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across the Line of Business. Key responsibilities include participating in the Enterprise Risk Control Assessment process, ensuring comprehensive risk management across various risk types in accordance with the Enterprise Risk Framework, and leading efforts to resolve regulatory audits and inquiries. The role involves collaborating with functional partners and risk teams to identify and address operational and regulatory gaps, as well as supporting the review and approval of marketing and communication materials.
Participate in Enterprise Risk Control Assessment process for the Line of Business.,Ensure comprehensive risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across all risk types.,Lead the Line of Business Senior Management Team (SMT) in monitoring and resolving applicable regulatory audits & inquiries (e.g., OSFI, CIRO, IAS, OSC) and regulatory compliance issues.,Support a First Line of Defense framework in partnership with GRMS & ORMS.,Work with and support second line of defense teams (e.g., compliance, AML, Tax advisory).,Identify and log operational and regulatory gaps/deficiencies in appropriate platforms/systems.,Design and execute solutions to close identified issues.,Support and/or review and approval of various marketing and/or communication materials for internal & external distribution.,Support the Francization committee for Line of Business French communication approvals.,Review and approval for social media responses.
Strong investments/brokerage, retail banking and/or operational experience is a definite asset.,Solid working knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape, ideally with several years experience in Risk Management, Compliance or Internal Audit.,Canadian Securities Course (CSC),Conduct & Practices exam (CPH),Options Course (OLC),Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC) course
