Description

The Senior Manager, Business Management at TD Bank oversees and leads a complex business management function, acting as a strategic partner to the leadership team. This role involves managing portfolio and financials, identifying operational efficiencies, facilitating strategic discussions, and setting operational team direction. The focus is on longer-range planning and ensuring an integrated approach across various business management areas and the broader organization.

What We're Looking For

Develop, communicate, and implement a holistic strategy for the specific business management function, integrated with the overall business strategy.,Oversee, lead, manage, and plan work activities that may require alignment across multiple areas.,Lead the team in the development and/or integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across multiple functional areas.,Act as a strategic partner to management by leading relationships with key enterprise partners and interfacing with respective leadership to manage the business area and clarify accountabilities.,Ensure an integrated view of all related activities across the function, providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership.,Forecast programs/initiatives and demand, and coordinate prioritization of the portfolio with key stakeholders.,Provide functional/business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and employees are consistent and aligned to business strategies.,Ensure the team adheres to enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to business management activities.,Lead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.,Support the team in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements, assessing potential impacts to the Bank.,Assess/identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and stakeholders.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and infrastructure.,Identify, mitigate, and report on risk issues per enterprise policy/guidelines and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed.,Ensure business operations comply with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls, segregation of duties).,Work closely with key business leaders to optimize TDBG resources and leverage TD's operating model.,Lead or contribute to cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert.,Manage oversight process, risk-based identification, and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance.,Oversee or lead the facilitation and/or implementation of action/remediation plans for performance/risk/governance issues.,Manage the overall team, providing leadership and guidance.,Set targets and objectives for the team and deliver results.,Grow team expertise to align with enterprise demand and the Bank's direction.,Foster an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and professionalism.,Coordinate necessary resources to ensure completion by deadlines.,Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management, and overall team leadership.,Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines.,Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners.,Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree,10+ years relevant experience,Comfortable with pivot tables and understanding data flow to extract meaningful insights (Excel Proficiency),Internal Audit background (nice-to-have),Power Point presentation skills
