Description

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence will be part of the Analytics, Insights, and Artificial Intelligence (AI2) team, focusing on modernizing Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities across six Canadian business segments. The role involves leading transformation initiatives, improving processes, strengthening data foundations for scalable analytics, and driving the adoption of modern BI tools. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence, reporting to the Head of the BI COE.

What We're Looking For

Lead transformation initiatives to modernize BI capabilities for AI-ready data, scalable analytics, and self-serve BI adoption.,Identify opportunities to simplify BI team workflows by improving processes, tooling, and operating models.,Partner with business segments and technology teams to strengthen data foundations.,Act as a technical expert on data visualization, semantic models, and self-serve analytics.,Drive adoption of modern BI tools (Power BI, Azure, Databricks).,Define and promote standards and best practices for dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.,Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve collaboration, insight delivery, and analytics asset management.,Implement process improvements to streamline BI development and reduce duplication.,Partner with BI practitioners to strengthen technical practices and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.,Influence decision-making through clear storytelling and strong presentations.,Represent the BI COE in senior forums and advocate for modern BI practices.,Deep experience in business intelligence, analytics, data transformation, or technology modernization.,Strong understanding of data visualization, semantic models, and self-serve analytics practices.,Hands-on familiarity with modern BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Azure, Databricks).,Experience improving operational processes and identifying efficiency opportunities.,Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple lines of business.,Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and drive alignment.,Confidence presenting to executive and senior leadership audiences.,Comfort working in ambiguity and shaping solutions.,Experience operating at an enterprise level and driving change.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree is an asset.,7 to 10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, technology transformation, or related fields.,Experience working in large, complex organizations is strongly preferred.
