Description

As a Senior Manager in the Audit & Assurance practice at KPMG Canada, you will lead audit teams in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. Your role involves ensuring high-quality work that fosters trust and transparency for public and private organizations. You will manage the full audit lifecycle from planning to completion, apply correct accounting practices, and identify opportunities to add value to clients' businesses. The position emphasizes strong client relationships, mentorship of staff, and contributing to the practice's business plan and financial goals.

What We're Looking For

Oversee and manage client audits from planning to completion of statements.,Participate in practice group activities to assist in implementing the business plan.,Work with assurance management to meet financial plan goals.,Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff.,Help clients resolve their needs and complex accounting issues with partners.,Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements.,Canadian CPA designation preferred or international equivalent preferred.,Relevant post-secondary degree.,8+ years of experience in a public practice accounting firm.,Previous experience using IFRS with publicly listed clients.,Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand client businesses and build strong relationships.,Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.,Proven background in building a client base and adding revenue.,Excellent written and verbal communication skills.,Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail.,Professional accounting firm experience is a must.,Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and strong leadership qualities.,Strong mentoring and performance management skills.

Ideal Candidate

Canadian CPA designation preferred or international equivalent preferred.,Relevant post-secondary degree.,8+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.,Previous experience using IFRS working with publicly listed clients.
