The successful candidate will lead client relationships and engagements, develop tailored solutions, assist with financial and regulatory reporting requirements, and collaborate with broader advisory teams to address complex financial reporting challenges. Cultivate opportunities and lead the delivery of accounting advisory engagements under IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and ASPE. [1, 2],Support clients through acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, reorganizations, and IPO readiness. [2],Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and technical accounting analyses. [2],Evaluate and interpret accounting and disclosure requirements, drafting supporting analyses and presentations. [2],Collaborate with cross-functional KPMG teams on process redesign, controls, and transaction-related challenges. [2],Leverage technology tools and expert-level Excel skills to support financial reporting and data modelling. [2],Stay current with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Post-secondary degree. [2],Canadian CPA designation, or an internationally recognized equivalent accounting designation per CPA Canada guidelines. [2],8+ years' professional experience, preferably in a consulting environment. [2],Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting standards. [2],Deep technical knowledge across key accounting areas, including financial instruments, consolidations, and securitization. [2],Relevant experience in financial services environments (banking, insurance, credit unions, broker-dealers). [2],Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear, persuasive technical memos and presentations for senior stakeholders.
