Senior Legal Counsel, Marketplaces and E-commerce (R27020)

Advise business and product teams on legal and regulatory requirements for prepaid balances, loyalty points, payments, and e-commerce.,Provide legal advice for international expansion of Epic's digital storefronts and related services, including licensing and local compliance.,Monitor legal and regulatory developments in the payments industry, advise on their impact, and ensure Epic's compliance.,Liaise with regulators on compliance issues.,Advise on structuring payment flows for pay-ins and payouts.,Carry out legal risk assessments for fraud prevention, AML, and liability allocation.,Act as a liaison among Legal, Compliance, Business, Product Development, and Operations teams.,Participate in escalation, strategy, and planning discussions with leadership.,Collaborate with outside counsels and stakeholders on Regulatory, Compliance, Privacy, Trust and Safety, and Litigation teams, supervising and executing advice implementation.,Licensed in good standing to practice law.,6+ years legal experience, including 3+ years relevant experience focused on e-commerce/payments/fintech/digital marketplaces.,Knowledge of PSD2, AMLD, GDPR, Card Scheme Rules and related regulatory frameworks.,Understanding of digital storefronts and alternative mobile app stores.,Familiarity with legal issues related to virtual in-game currency.,Proven experience advising on wallets, prepaid balances, loyalty points, and payments.,Strong issue-spotting skills; agile in prioritizing and meeting deadlines.,Tech-savvy with hands-on experience working with legal technology.,Strong verbal and written communication skills.,Ability to operate autonomously as a legal generalist and expert in payments and e-commerce while exercising good judgment.

Licensed in good standing to practice law; 6+ years legal experience, including 3+ years relevant experience focused on e-commerce/payments/fintech/digital marketplaces (in-house experience at a fast-paced technology company preferred).
