Description
Bell Canada is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team, providing support to Bell Canada and its affiliated companies. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to business partners, focusing on deal negotiation and agreement drafting for various sales, procurement, and joint go-to-market partnership transactions. The counsel will provide commercial legal advice to teams across Canada for all lines of business.
What We're Looking For
Provide commercial legal advice to support teams across Canada for all lines of business.,Negotiate and draft complex commercial IT agreements, supporting sales, procurement, licensing, and other partner activities, including IT and cloud solutions.,Work in close partnership with the business as a trusted advisor.,Work independently on multiple files and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines.,Effectively articulate legal advice (written and verbal) to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
Ideal Candidate
At least 5 years of commercial law experience gained in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel in a large corporation.,Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial IT agreements (sales, procurement, licensing, IT/cloud solutions).,Strong business acumen and interest in understanding the business to provide solution-oriented advice.,Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.,Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve client and legal concerns practically and efficiently.,Confident in engaging and interacting with sophisticated internal and external stakeholders.,Bilingualism (French and English), capable of drafting, negotiating, and practicing in both languages, is a strong asset.,Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
