This role is for a Senior Legal Advisor within the Wealth Management team at National Bank, focusing on securities regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering. The advisor will act as an expert to ensure regulatory compliance, proactively manage risks, and provide advisory support to various business lines, leveraging strong analytical skills and regulatory knowledge.
Write and revise Compliance department policies, procedures, and communications.,Participate in the creation of training material related to regulatory changes or knowledge strengthening.,Assist business lines in the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements and business projects.,Ensure legislative and regulatory monitoring, analyze draft laws, and inform relevant parties of upcoming changes.,Participate in, create, and present dashboards and various compliance reports.,Provide required advisory support to business lines.
Bachelor's degree in law and be a member in good standing of the Bar.,4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the securities industry and AML.,In-depth knowledge of securities and AML regulations.,Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.,Completion of the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) or willingness to complete it upon hiring.
