Description
The FICC (Fixed Income, Currency, Commodities) Technology APAC Team at TD International Services Limited is seeking a Senior Java Developer. The role involves supporting local APAC business needs, providing L3 Dev support, and troubleshooting production incidents as part of a 'Follow the Sun' model. Key responsibilities include contributing to product strategy and technology direction, implementing and maintaining high-quality code, participating in capacity planning and design, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver best-in-class TD systems. A primary focus will be on expanding and enhancing the trading capabilities of the Calypso platform to support business growth in APAC, ensuring solutions adhere to global design principles and emphasize long-term supportability.
What We're Looking For
Serve local APAC business to make sure their business needs are met in a timely manner,Answer questions and provide local L3 Dev support independently when required, without needing Dev from other regions,Contribute to trouble-shooting PROD incidents occurred in other time zone/regions – a.k.a the 'Follow the Sun' model,Obtain and preserve knowledge of critical FICC applications and platforms,Independently upgrade as well as develop new addition to existing applications,Actively participate and contribute in Global major project delivery initiatives,Implement solutions on expanding/enhancing the trading capabilities of the Calypso platform to support the planned business growth in APAC,Contribute towards the future strategy and technology direction of products,Implement and maintain high quality code to best practices,Take part in capacity planning and design activities,Work with colleagues within FI & Derivatives team and beyond to help deliver best-in-Class TD systems,Implement solutions that are fully compatible with Global Calypso team's existing design principles and implementation processes and guidelines, with an emphasis on long-term supportability
Ideal Candidate
Undergraduate Degree,Strong Java Developer (7+ years' experience),Experience designing/building distributed applications,JVM tuning,Multi-threading,SQL Knowledge / Oracle DB,Linux (RedHat),MQ
