Description

This role supports financial, management, and regulatory reporting for RBC's consolidated US Intermediate Holding Company (US IHC). Key responsibilities include managing month-end close processes, performing financial analysis to support senior management, and contributing to a global operating model from a processing center in Malaysia that serves 10 countries across three time zones.

What We're Looking For

Provide day-to-day accounting and financial support to the team/business.,Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including creating, documenting, and posting journal entries to the general ledger.,Prepare various Head Office Templates/Reports on a monthly/quarterly basis.,Prepare monthly attestation packages and ensure all accounts are fully reconciled.,Assist with the production and delivery of monthly financial analytical reporting packages.,Respond to internal/external auditor's queries and provide support and resolution.,Support annual audits of consolidated financial statements, including planning, footnote disclosures compilation, and acting as a point person for inquiries.,Support the daily balance sheet process for the Consolidated US Operations (CUSO).,Provide support for various regulatory inquiries on reported balances.,Provide required support for the implementation of new accounting standards or updates.,Perform or review reconciliations of general ledger balances and resolve discrepancies timely.,Review intergroup reconciliations; coordinate the investigation/resolution of breaks.,Contribute to an effective control environment by creating/refreshing documentation of financial reporting processes.,Support the Financial Control teams as needed.,Continuously develop knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting requirements.,Assist with daily Ad Hoc inquiries and requests.,2+ years experience in financial reporting.,Broad financial statement orientation and comprehension of US GAAP.,Knowledge of various accounting applications such as ADP, PeopleSoft, IBM Cognos, SAP, EGL, Bloomberg, Excel, and Access.,Strong financial and analytical skills.,Self-starter and motivated.

Ideal Candidate

BBA and/or MBA in Accounting/Finance.,CPA or equivalent (a plus).,Public accounting experience (a plus).

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance
