TD Securities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join its US Wholesale Controllers group in New York City. This role is crucial for financial, management, and regulatory reporting for the U.S. region, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and supporting internal and external audits. The analyst will contribute to improving data accuracy, maintaining internal controls, and supporting data-driven decision-making within the Wholesale Banking segment.
Assist in month-end close for multiple legal entities and US Wholesale consolidation process in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.,Prepare, analyze, and document monthly accounting entries.,Ensure adherence to account reconciliation and attestation policies; liaise with Operations & Reconciliation Control teams to resolve issues.,Support external and internal audit requests.,Prepare quarterly/annual disclosures and other reporting obligations.,Assist in preparing financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders; coordinate commentary and reviews.,Maintain sub-ledger to general ledger mapping logic; liaise with Product Control and Operations for testing and application.,Perform sub-ledger and GL reconciliations; research and resolve issues promptly.,Improve data accuracy and support data-driven decision-making.,Maintain strong internal controls and keep process documentation up to date.,Conduct regular, ongoing analysis, evaluation, and review of business performance.,Provide advice and guidance to Finance Management and/or business partners on finance accounting/reporting or operational processes.,Develop analysis and dashboards to illustrate business trends and identify business opportunities.,Coordinate and/or consolidate financial information needs/requests among various parties.,Act as a key resource by providing relevant financial information/guidance on specialized procedures/issues.,Identify variances and contribute to the analysis, due diligence, and execution of potential initiatives, acquisitions, and/or business restructures.,Contribute and work with FinOps or Specialized Finance teams to provide input and feedback on enhancing operational activities.
5+ years post-undergraduate experience in public accounting and/or financial services.,Strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.,Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and compliance requirements.,Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong analytical skills.,Excellent verbal and written communication skills.,Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.,Demonstrated curiosity and interest in process improvements; ability to adapt to changing priorities.,Accounting designation preferred.
