Senior Engineering Manager Critical Environments EMEA / APAC

Description

This role involves providing strategic management and direction for critical infrastructure engineering across RBC's EMEA and APAC portfolio. The objective is to ensure 100% uptime of critical environments, working in partnership with the Critical Environments EMEA / APAC team and reporting to the Director of CE Operations.

What We're Looking For

Responsibility for daily Critical Engineering, ensuring 100% Up-Time of Critical Environments within Europe & Asia.

Respond to emergency situations both in and out of hours.

Communicate to stakeholders and management through defined processes during emergency situations.

Act as a mechanical and electrical engineering subject matter expert, covering UPS, emergency power generators, power, HVAC, building controls, and fire suppression systems.

Lead for UK/EMEA/APAC Critical Environment Engineering Support & Colo Data Centers.

Lead the development of technical standards, policies, procedures, and documentation for CE Engineering Operations, with ongoing reviews for alignment with business needs, industry standards, and statutory requirements.

Lead in providing technical review of MOP / EOP processes across the EMEA / APAC region to ensure standardization.

Act as a subject matter expert for engineering support regarding audit & compliance within CE EMEA / APAC, providing technical review and sign-off.

Oversee / Monitor the Critical Environment Preventative Maintenance Program from an engineering perspective.

Responsible for the development of reliable and cost-effective solutions, technical standards & policies that support the Critical Facility.

Ideal Candidate

University or equivalent relevant Engineering qualifications and experience.

Engineering subject matter expert within Critical Environments.

Strong organization and administration related experience.

Proficient with MS Office applications.

Understanding of Audit, Risk and Compliance practices.

Engineering and IT Systems knowledge.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent relevant Engineering qualifications and experience).

Special Commitments

The role is office-based and requires 4 days based in the office. Requires responding to emergency situations both in and out of hours.
