Description

The Senior Director, Commercial Banking is responsible for driving growth and profitability within a portfolio of business clients. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and providing tailored financial strategies and advice. The director will also negotiate agreements, ensure compliance with risk management standards, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver integrated solutions, actively participating in networking and business development activities.

What We're Looking For

Identify and develop business opportunities within the market and grow the commercial client base.

Implement effective business development strategies.

Support clients in achieving business objectives through tailored financial strategies using Bank products and services.

Anticipate and respond to evolving client needs by optimizing financial solutions and advice.

Negotiate terms and conditions of agreements while ensuring compliance with risk management and profitability requirements.

Develop and execute business development plans aligned with regional and organizational objectives.

Support the Regional Vice-President in achieving performance and growth targets.

Work closely with the Manager – Financing Solutions to deliver integrated client solutions.

Actively participate in networking and business development activities (e.g., cocktails, conferences, industry events).

Work in synergy with internal partners and departments to ensure a seamless client experience.

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in sales and business development within the financial industry (depending on academic background).

Experience in financial statement analysis.

Experience in commercial credit.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience OR Master's degree with 5 years' experience.

Experience in sales and business development.

Experience in commercial credit.

A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies (an asset).
