The Senior Director, Banking Financing role at National Bank within the Corporate and Private Wealth 1859 team involves strategic leadership in banking financing for an exclusive client base. Key responsibilities include business development, leveraging banking financing experience and financial strategies to contribute to the growth and visibility of Private Wealth 1859 across various regions including Laval, the Laurentians, Lanaudière, Northern Québec, and Eastern Ontario. This senior position focuses on fostering collaboration, strong business relationships, and creating sustainable value for clients and teams.
What We're Looking For
Ensure the development and satisfaction of a niche client base by delivering a distinctive client experience and sustainable value creation.
Lead business development initiatives to drive growth, structure strategic opportunities, and strengthen Private Wealth 1859's presence in targeted markets.
Achieve revenue growth and synergy objectives while mobilizing a team of bankers.
Ensure sound and rigorous management of financing activities with a high level of compliance and collaboration with other Bank sectors.
Influence and support the broader Private Wealth 1859 team with expertise and creativity for complex client needs.
Identify and implement winning business strategies, representing the Private Wealth 1859 brand internally and externally.
Contribute to the development and execution of the team's business plan, ensuring structured performance and results monitoring.
Develop and engage team talent by fostering an inclusive and motivating work environment, supporting organizational change, and maximizing individual contributions.
Hold a bachelor's degree with at least ten years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience.
Have significant experience in banking financing, including commercial and specialized financing.
Demonstrate recognized experience in team management, including coaching, development, and talent engagement.
Show strong expertise in business development and the growth of complex portfolios.
Be available to travel regularly within the covered territory.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree with at least ten years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience.
Significant experience in banking financing, including commercial and specialized financing.
Recognized experience in team management (coaching, development, talent engagement).
Strong expertise in business development and growth of complex portfolios.
