Senior Development Manager (Enterprise General Ledger – eGL, FMSR & FDM), Finance IT

Description

This role involves leading the technical design and development of application systems within the Finance and Audit Team. The manager will oversee IT support staff and vendor resources, ensuring efficient responses to business clients, application development, and quality assurance teams. The position requires applying extensive, in-depth knowledge to complex assignments and contributing to the delivery of high-performing applications.

What We're Looking For

Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, COE teams, and the Architecture Design Authority to determine optimal technical solutions.

Actively participate in detailed design phases, identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring solutions meet sponsor needs.

Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for project completion.

Develop detailed plans and estimates for design, build, implementation, and maintenance.

Ensure adequate technical documentation and training.

Provide hands-on assistance in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Engage in coding, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.

Provide direct, day-to-day supervision of staff and contractors.

Ideal Candidate

6+ years of experience in software development in related technologies with increasing responsibilities and complexity.

2+ years in team lead or similar capacity with full end-to-end ownership in delivering a project.

Expert with Python and experience with C++, C#, .NET, HTML.

Hands-on experience with the mainframe environment, JCL, COBOL, SYSIN, etc., and knowledge of Zeke scheduling.

Understanding of infrastructure management, including Windows and Unix servers, NAS, SAN, and other systems.

Hands-on experience with distributed platforms with an understanding of migrating from legacy mainframe to alternate platforms.

Exposure to DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.
