Senior Data Scientist, Fortnite Ecosystem (R27140)

Description

This role involves leveraging data science and analytics to enhance the Fortnite ecosystem, working closely with the Fortnite Ecosystem Growth team. Responsibilities include strategizing and evaluating initiatives across various domains like Developer Economy and Creator Relations. The successful candidate will define KPIs, build data pipelines, create reports, and perform in-depth analysis to inform product decisions and identify growth opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Partner with design and product management leaders to break down ambiguous problems, identify key business opportunities, and leverage data to establish essential metrics and deliver insights that will drive and shape the strategic direction.,Transform raw data into data models, production metrics, scaled reporting, and insights to improve user experience and engagement.,Work closely with product, marketing, business, and technology teams to ensure the seamless execution of initiatives.,Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on goals and priorities, and facilitate collaboration across departments with clear communication.,7+ years of industry or relevant experience, with a good understanding of live service video games.,Strong product intuition and ability to shape strategy for a complex ecosystem.,Demonstrated background in influencing products by applying data and measurement to drive alignment.,Experience in data visualization (Tableau or similar).,Experience with experimental design and a variety of causal inference methods.,Experience working with development teams to instrument data and ensure continued data quality.,Experience writing efficient and scalable SQL over billions of rows; familiarity with distributed computing using Spark (Scala or PySpark) is a plus.,Familiarity with supporting technical componentry, including code version control (Github), orchestration (Airflow or similar).,Advanced statistical training and a thorough understanding of the associated strengths and weaknesses of different statistical approaches is a plus.,Passion for games, analytics, and content discovery platforms.
