Senior Consultant/Consultant, Transaction Services

Description

This role at KPMG involves joining the Transaction Services team to help clients create value from mergers and acquisitions (M&A) through strategic deal planning. The position is located in Calgary, AB, and requires assisting buyers, sellers, private equity investors, and lenders in developing and executing their M&A strategies. Key responsibilities include conducting financial due diligence, performing 'Quality of Earnings' analysis, advising on target working capital and deal closing mechanisms, and interpreting financial data to report key issues to clients.

What We're Looking For

Conduct financial due diligence engagements as part of M&A transactions.,Prepare and deliver 'Quality of Earnings' analysis.,Advise clients on Target Working Capital for deal closing purposes.,Identify debt-like items and advise on deal closing mechanisms.,Interpret and analyze information memoranda, business plans, and publicly available information on target businesses.,Review and analyze historical trading, cash flow, capital expenditure, forecasts, and underlying assumptions.,Identify and report key issues to decision-makers at clients in written and verbal reports.

Ideal Candidate

Must have an accounting professional designation (CPA) or working towards one.,For Senior Consultant: 1+ years of experience within transaction services AND 2+ years of total accounting/finance experience in a consulting and/or corporate environment.,For Consultant: 1+ years of total accounting/finance experience in a consulting and/or corporate environment.,Strong preference for candidates with Assurance / Audit experience.
