Senior Consultant, Risk Business Intelligence Office

This role involves acting as a Senior Consultant within the Risk Business Intelligence Office (RBIO) at CIBC. The primary responsibilities include applying strong reporting and data analysis skills with an understanding of Risk Management to enhance risk domain business intelligence. The consultant will own monthly and quarterly wholesale credit risk reporting for internal teams and regulators, develop detailed requirements for robust reporting and analytic solutions, ensuring high data quality, and collaborate across Product, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams.

What We're Looking For

Take ownership of monthly and quarterly wholesale credit risk reporting to internal and regulatory teams.,Develop detailed requirements for robust reporting and analytic solutions, ensuring high data quality.,Collaborate with various teams across Product, Finance, Risk, and Technology.,Build strong relationships within RBIO and with partner teams.,Show accountability in running projects or processes to completion, resolving roadblocks, and proactively identifying issues.,Provide advice, feedback, support, and mentorship to the team.,Monitor data quality, raise issues, and take ownership to solve them in production reporting and project delivery.,Understand both technical and business acumen.,Act as a reliable liaison between business and technology groups, understanding project delivery processes like requirements analysis and user acceptance testing.,Provide analysis and support for ingesting, measuring, monitoring, and reporting wholesale risk data.,Identify obstacles or risks in projects, provide status updates, escalate issues, and ensure test deliverables are aligned with project goals.,Lead investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases.,Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects.

Ideal Candidate

Degree in business, finance, software development, or risk management.,Background in Expected Credit Losses reporting and calculations (e.g., OSFI and Public disclosure reporting like Loans note in Quarterly and Annual reports).,Background in project delivery related to data warehousing and reporting.,Experience in Data Analysis tools, including SQL, BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI.
