Senior Consultant, Data Analytics - Deal Advisory

This role at KPMG involves joining a team of diverse problem solvers to transform insights into opportunities for clients. The successful candidate will be part of the Data & Analytics, Deal Advisory team in Toronto, focusing on applying proprietary and third-party data analytics solutions within a deal environment. Responsibilities include evaluating a business's historical performance, assessing the sustainability of earnings/cash flows, analyzing financial projections, and identifying opportunities for value creation using large volumes of structured and unstructured data. The role also requires drafting professional reports, Excel schedules, and PowerBI dashboards to deliver impactful insights and supporting other business units in leveraging data and analytics.

What We're Looking For

Work with deal teams to evaluate a business' historical performance, sustainability of earnings/cash flows, financial projections, and opportunities for value creation.,Work with large volumes of data (structured and unstructured) to investigate and perform deeper analysis, producing impactful insights.,Draft detailed professional reports and other client deliverables such as Excel schedules, PowerBI dashboards, and results of predictive models.,Develop and support other business units to identify use cases and increase the application of data & analytics in a cross-functional capacity.,Utilize KPMG proprietary and third-party data analytics tools to deliver deeper insights.

Ideal Candidate

Post-Secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Business or numerate/analytical disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.,3+ years of work experience in a related field; experience in professional services and the deal environment is an asset.,Strong analytical skills coupled with financial awareness and business acumen.,Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.,Strong experience in PowerBI and PowerQuery, including data transformation and dashboard development to display business insights.
