Senior Consultant, Application Development
Description
This role is for a Senior Consultant in Application Development within CIBC’s Global Asset Management (GAM) Technology group. The individual will be responsible for leading technology application delivery, shaping strategic technology direction, and performing hands-on development using modern technologies. The role involves working with multiple application teams on operational and project initiatives, ensuring technology optimization, appropriate risk management, and maintaining GAM technology systems to meet business needs. The consultant will also focus on strategic development, execution, people leadership, and relationship management with clients and partners.
What We're Looking For
Establish, execute, and drive technology application delivery for GAM Technology.,Work with multiple application teams for technology development (operational and project initiatives).,Assist in shaping strategic technology direction in accordance with the business roadmap.,Determine technology optimization and appropriate risk management.,Provide development and maintenance capability for GAM technology systems, applications, and processes.,Hands-on development work.,Identify GAM Technology needs as part of an integrated business and technology roadmap.,Align all technology application services to support business needs and deliver against them.,Understand and implement business strategies, operating model, and processing.,Design, develop, implement/execute, and support GAM Technology strategies (Cloud, Data and Business Analytics, Application Modernization/CCR, Process Automation (QA), DevOps adoption).,Lead and coach a high-performing group team of individuals (indirect reporting).,Share knowledge and collaborate on effective solutions.,Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application programs.,Advise application owners on technology possibilities and requirements.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
