This role is for a Senior Consultant, Analytics within CIBC's Fraud Analytics team. The team focuses on providing insights into fraud trends using advanced analytics, modeling, and data-driven approaches to manage and mitigate fraud across all channels. The consultant will design, develop, and implement analytics methodologies to drive fraud loss mitigation strategies, contributing to industry-leading fraud management and enhancing client safety. The role supports proactive and strategic fraud management through BI solutions, monitoring attacks, evaluating processes, and investigating root causes.
Provide comprehensive insights and analytics on fraud trends, including international fraud.,Serve as the trusted source of truth for enterprise fraud loss and scams.,Provide BI solutions, monitor attacks, evaluate processes, and investigate root causes.,Harness data from diverse sources to deliver actionable intelligence.,Develop robust forecasting models for loss projections.,Automate reporting and conduct timely root cause analyses.,Design, develop, and implement analytics methodologies that drive fraud loss mitigation strategies.,Develop, maintain, and optimize BI solutions (dashboards, interactive reports) using tools like Tableau, Power BI.,Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams.,Champion data integrity through robust quality controls and monitoring.,Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models for fraud detection and loss forecasting.,Continuously improve models to adapt to emerging fraud patterns.,Enhance complex analytics solutions and specialized reporting with innovative problem-solving.,Drive a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
5–8 years of hands-on experience in advanced analytics, preferably in financial services or fraud risk management.,Degree in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).,Proficient with analytics programming languages (SAS, Python, SQL) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Alteryx).,Experience with backend frameworks and building custom dashboards using web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is considered an asset.,Experience with cloud-based data and AI platforms (e.g., Databricks, SageMaker, Snowflake) and deploying solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP.,Strong presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.,Client-focused, purposeful, and value-driven (trust, teamwork, and accountability).
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
