KPMG is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to join their Technology Risk Consulting practice in Canada. This role focuses on helping clients address complex business issues by performing IT risk reviews and providing IT internal audit support across various IT risk domains, and assisting in cyber transformation journeys through service delivery, advisory, and support.
Support services including general/application control audits and assessments, SOC 1 / SOC 2 / SOC 3 audits, cybersecurity and technology risk reviews, IT infrastructure security assessments, project governance reviews, and ISO assessments.,Review new and existing systems for control adequacy, security, operational considerations, and project management.,Advise on business process controls.,Lead field engagement teams and mentor junior staff.,Contribute to knowledge sharing through tool development and methodology enhancements.,Identify and implement process improvements.,Evaluate risks and controls associated with IT applications, operating systems, databases, interfaces, and business cycles.,Engage with clients to understand their environments and needs.
Completion of a post-secondary degree.,Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in assessing IT or business process risk, ideally within a consulting environment.,Strong understanding of business process controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and controls-based audits/assessments (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, CSAE 3416).,Designations such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM are an asset.,Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.,Attention to detail and strong organization and investigator skills.,Strong understanding of business and audit risks.,High degree of personal confidence, enthusiasm and drive.,Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to effectively express insights.,Ability to work with little supervision and within a team environment.
