Description

The Senior Compliance Testing Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of Core Compliance in executing the Monitoring and Testing program for Asia-Pacific (APAC). This role involves designing and performing compliance testing, drafting reports, meeting deadlines, and assisting with monitoring activities. The analyst will also support the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, conduct regulatory gap analysis, and provide Core Compliance Advisory advice.

What We're Looking For

Design and perform testing and desk reviews for compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations (LRRs).,Draft and prepare Compliance testing reports and supporting documentation.,Meet testing deadlines for the annual Monitoring & Testing Plan for APAC.,Prepare Management Reporting on key trends and violations.,Review, investigate, and escalate irregularities and non-compliant activities from Communication Surveillance and Personal Account Dealing reviews.,Review alerts in Trade Surveillance systems, ensuring timely escalation, documentation, and closure.,Develop Monitoring & Testing Plans for APAC aligned with RCM requirements.,Conduct regulatory gap analysis and review against RCM Standards.,Keep abreast of and develop strong competency in applicable Singapore LRRs.,Perform Compliance related roles and activities in the Enterprise system (MERLIN), including Issues Management, Monitoring and Testing, LRR mapping, risk rating review, and Reporting.,Participate in Global Trade Surveillance and Global Control Room Workstream meetings.,Assist teams in Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and other APAC representative offices with implementing new processes, policies, procedures, or systems related to monitoring and testing.,Provide Core Compliance Advisory advice to the Business and all Support and Control Functions.,Support Core Compliance deliverables, including internal, external reporting investigations.,Contribute to the APAC training plan and conduct training.,Able and willing to represent APAC and attend global calls with head office based on North American time zones.

Ideal Candidate

Relevant degree.,At least 10 years of total experience in central core compliance, gained from a top-tier bank, fund/asset management, or major consultancy/accounting firm (banking knowledge required).,Minimum of 5 years of prior experience as an SME for Testing and Employee Compliance in a MAS regulated Financial Institution.,Business and product knowledge in global markets, asset management, and banking (desirable).,Strong knowledge of and competency in applicable Singapore and/or regional banking/capital market laws & regulations, advising on regulatory and conduct matters.,Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and other reporting tools.
