Senior Client Service Associate (Private Wealth)

Description

This role at CIBC involves supporting Private Wealth relationship management by providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities include responding to client inquiries, managing client onboarding and account maintenance, and collaborating with internal teams for efficient operations. The associate will handle daily client communications, process operational requests like money movements and address changes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and assist Relationship Managers with presentation materials and activity tracking to maintain a high-quality client experience.

What We're Looking For

Manage client onboarding, account openings, and operational support.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, internal partners, custodians, and service teams, ensuring clear and proactive communication.

Manage client transactions including money movements (checks, ACH, wires, journal transfers), quarterly tax payments, charitable gift requests, and annual IRA contributions/RMDs accurately and within deadlines.

Process address changes and other account updates.

Update portfolio asset allocation schedules.

Assist senior staff with preparing materials for presentations, meetings, and reviews, and reporting requests.

Proactively anticipate and address client needs, research, and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.

Pursue continuous improvement and problem-solve by anticipating obstacles and developing plans to overcome them.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree.

3-5+ years of financial industry experience with demonstrated experience in a client service role.

Understanding of high-net-worth client needs.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while ensuring accuracy.

Strong critical thinking skills.

Ability to work well in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity platforms (preferred).
