Description

The Senior Business Project Manager at CIBC is an expert responsible for leading complex projects from initiation to closure, including requirement gathering, design, testing, and implementation. This role involves guiding stakeholders, managing project plans, identifying risks, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery within a hybrid work environment. The individual will also provide business guidance, analyze data for executive presentations, and continuously improve project practices.

What We're Looking For

Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs.,Build and manage project plans and schedule performance.,Create a resource plan ensuring stakeholder involvement.,Assess and improve team practices and procedures.,Collaborate with technology subject matter experts to deliver work packages.,Help internal partners make informed decisions on program, product, and service development.,Coach and mentor teams towards common goals.,Negotiate deliverables and milestones.,Proactively identify and mitigate project schedule risks.,Monitor milestones to ensure completion according to timelines and budgets.,Execute project plans balancing budget, time, and risk.,Ensure strict compliance with the Enterprise Project Delivery Framework.,Chair meetings and communicate effectively to executive audiences.,Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.

Ideal Candidate

3+ years’ experience in managing end-to-end Business projects with technology components.,Deep understanding of practices, procedures, and principles for successfully delivering large projects.,Ability to analyze detailed concepts, resolve project issues quickly, and assess solution advantages/disadvantages.,Experience in commercial and business banking LOB (asset).,Degree/diploma in Business, Project Management, and/or a related field of study.,PMP designation (asset).
