Description

The Senior Business Application Analyst will work within the Global Payment and Deposit Solutions (GPDS) team, focusing on transforming operating models and infrastructure for TD Securities' payment and deposit services. This role involves specialized product development using Agile/Scrum methodologies, interpreting business challenges, recommending solutions, and leading cross-functional projects to shape the future of payments at TD.

What We're Looking For

Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders in designing the desired future state target operating model (TOM), providing recommendations based on customer experience.,Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders using various techniques to elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus.,Prioritize requirements based on business stakeholder inputs and broader roadmap priorities.,Make delivery decisions and assess/mitigate/manage risks.,Manage end-to-end traceability from business goals to features, epics, user stories, and test cases.,Drive the team to plan and execute regular Business Stakeholder Demos and compile/share team performance metrics.,Plan and execute people & process changes, coordinating with impacted stakeholders (documentation, socialization, communications, training).,Employ Agile, Product Owner mindset, Shift Left testing methodologies, and best practices using tools like Jira, JTMF, and Confluence.,Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and techniques for product development and delivery (Design Thinking, Lean Startup).,Contribute to a culture of innovation.,Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners.,Effectively engage and update stakeholders on project timelines and strategic alignment.,Influence senior stakeholders and guide team members, managing expectations and collaborating across teams.,Compile and communicate performance metrics.,Convey complex concepts clearly, transforming information into compelling business narratives.,Effectively communicate product changes and backlog priorities.,Utilize critical thinking and conflict resolution skills to address complex challenges.,Recommend best practices for improving products, processes, or services.,Solve intricate problems and develop innovative solutions through analytical thinking.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree required.,3+ years relevant experience.,3+ years in Project Management, Product Owner, Testing Practices, and/or Agile delivery experience.,Certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are assets.,Substantial knowledge of SWIFT messages, ISO20022, MX and MT formats.,Deep understanding of payment systems and methods (Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, FedWire, etc.).,Knowledge of non-wire payment methods (drafts, checks).,Familiarity with regulatory reporting (EFTR Fintrac, sanction screening, fraud detection, AML, compliance reporting).,Understanding of deposit sub-ledger capabilities (account management, transaction posting, multi-currency handling, interest calculations, liquidity management, controls, and reporting) is an asset.,Familiarity with various accounts (Nostro, Vostro, Corporate Customer) and integration of payments services with correspondent account processing is an asset.,Understanding of the interaction between payments and deposits operating models and how these serve client needs and use cases.,Experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping.,Ability to create and document Target Operating Models (TOMs) and define how opportunities and challenges will be delivered through them.,Proficient in MS Office.,Consulting and / or strategy experience preferred.,Tier 1 bank or financial institution experience preferred.
