Senior Business Application Analyst - RRBW HR Applications

Description

This role is for an experienced Senior Business Applications Analyst within the Recognition, Retirement, Benefits & Wellbeing (RRBW) team. The individual will lead specialized business application management activities for HR applications, focusing on the entire application lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support. A key aspect of the role involves sustaining and evolving Workday HRIS configurations and complex data integrations that support core employee programs. The position requires advanced domain expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to operate independently in high-complexity environments, acting as a trusted escalation point for complex scenarios and leading business testing and change management initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Own and manage end-to-end application lifecycle activities, including intake, requirements, delivery, testing, deployment, and transition to BAU support.,Document all business-owned artifacts required for projects and major initiatives as defined by the bank's Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) methodology.,Document business processes for all owned/managed business applications.,Lead requirements gathering and solution design for projects, releases, and regulatory or operational changes.,Manage day-to-day operations to ensure consistency and delivery according to established SLAs.,Create and execute all Business Acceptance Test (BAT) documentation and testing.,Partner with other HR Technology teams to ensure solutions meet business, data governance, and integration requirements.,Provide deployment and change management support for initiatives.,Review requirements specifications and technical design documents, providing feedback.,Provide feedback and solutions for issues/risks throughout the project lifecycle.,Identify and escalate risks impacting project timelines, quality, compliance, or service continuity.,Act as a key escalation point for high-risk application, data, and operational issues, including those involving external vendors and integrations.,Act as a decision-maker on projects, synthesizing input from SMEs and stakeholders.,Ensure adherence to EPMO project management methodology, Data Governance Framework, and regulatory requirements (Privacy, Legal, Compliance).,Continuously enhance knowledge of RRBW HR Applications, leading-edge technologies, and business domains.,Support business case development, including benefits identification, realization, and risk mitigation.,Participate in team activities, support a positive work environment, and ensure timely communication.,Contribute to knowledge transfer within the team and other business units.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.,5+ years of progressively senior experience in HR applications (Workday, etc.), related data integrations (HRIS to vendor, vendor to HRIS), business systems analysis, or application management.,Deep functional knowledge of Benefits, Retirement, Pension, or Wellbeing programs.,Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS, including configurations, business processes, data flows, and integrations.,Proven ability to support complex, high-risk integrations with external vendors and downstream systems.,Demonstrated experience working within formal project delivery and governance frameworks (PDLC/EPMO).,Preferred demonstrated ability to operate effectively within Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, hybrid Agile/Waterfall), partnering closely with Product Owners, Technology teams, and vendors.,Preferred hands-on experience using JIRA (or equivalent Agile tools) to manage work intake, track requirements, user stories, defects, and delivery progress.,Preferred experience supporting iterative delivery cycles, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing cycles, and release readiness for large-scale, integrated systems.
