Senior Business Analyst, Financial Crimes

This role at Royal Bank of Canada involves reporting to the Director, Project Management, Program and Innovation – Financial Crimes PMO. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with various Financial Crimes teams and Business groups to facilitate requirements gathering for projects focused on Target Operating Model business integration and strategic enhancements to the AML program. Key responsibilities include leading stakeholder meetings, tracking action items, ensuring project objectives are met, and assisting with testing and training.

What We're Looking For

Produce detailed project artifacts including End To End Requirements, Use Cases/Stories, and User Acceptance Test plans and cases.,Work with Project Managers to recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs.,Lead requirements analysis and gathering process, including facilitating meetings, providing status updates, monitoring deliverables, and escalating issues.,Investigate and mediate business and project issues and risks, obtaining consensus from stakeholders.,Coordinate and manage pilot test groups and product/process rollouts.,Develop criteria for and participate in evaluating 3rd party vendors and software, as well as due diligence exercises.,Enhance and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, business, and information systems.,Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services on medium to large projects using either Iterative Waterfall or Agile methodologies.,Ability to work independently and/or collaborate within a team, with internal departments or suppliers and build partnerships with stakeholders.,Ability to effectively manage a variable workload and prioritize work while performing under pressure and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.,Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.,Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, and Teams.,Experience working on requirements for data sourcing/data migration projects.,Experience with transaction monitoring controls and with an analytics/modelling team.,Experience working with Trust or Custody services, Wealth Management and/or Capital Markets products.

Ideal Candidate

Working background/experience with the major business segments of RBC, preferably in an Analyst capacity (Nice-to-have).,Relevant University/College degree (Nice-to-have).
