Description

This role involves managing the administrative aspects of Wood Gundy branch operations at CIBC, focusing on people management for a small support team, fostering a positive work environment, and overseeing day-to-day operations. The Senior Branch Administrator will also provide operational and administrative support to the branch and Investment Advisors, ensure adherence to compliance, and contribute to branch profitability. The role requires leadership in hiring, training, and performance management of non-commissioned staff, alongside supporting sales and customer service functions.

What We're Looking For

Contribute to people management of a small support team, including creating a positive work environment, leading and coaching support staff, developing employee capability, and managing performance.,Effectively manage all administrative aspects of Wood Gundy branch operations.,Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of all support staff.,Manage the hiring process for support staff roles, including obtaining Head Office approval, interviewing, and selecting candidates.,Support Branch Manager in cultivating a performance-oriented culture and strong employee relations.,Oversee and manage day-to-day branch operations and administration, including office equipment, supplies, and coordination of office functions/events.,Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and monitor/control branch budget and expenses.,Review and process accounts payable for Branch Manager approval.,Assist Branch Manager with Investment Advisor duties such as taking buy/sell orders for various financial instruments.,Write up accurate trade tickets.,Coordinate and notify brokers of new stock/bond issues, cease trades, and halt trading.,Ensure customer service standards and operational procedures are communicated and maintained.,Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.,Problem-solving skills to resolve issues and conflicts.

Ideal Candidate

Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID) certification, current accreditation, and good standing for CIRO-ID licensing.,Postsecondary degree/diploma and/or 4 years of relevant experience.
