The Senior Audit Group Manager will lead a team of audit professionals at TD Bank, overseeing the planning and execution of complex audits and projects, particularly within Financial Crimes Audit and High Risk Areas. This role involves providing strategic guidance to senior leadership, independently monitoring operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to mitigate potential risks and enhance operational performance across the bank.
Develop and lead a team of audit professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development.,Supervise, plan, and execute complex audit engagements and projects for multiple business groups.,Provide thought leadership and facilitate strategic audit discussions with executives.,Act as the lead audit advisor on emerging trends and issues to improve processes.,Identify, mitigate, and report on risk issues, ensuring appropriate escalation.,Develop the divisional annual plan for the risk assessment process.,Lead audit engagement work activities to ensure adequate risk coverage.,Provide recommendations and decision support to leadership.,Facilitate and implement internal audit remediation plans.,Advise the leadership team on portfolio and financial management.,Connect with key shareholders for prioritizing portfolios, aligning with business strategies.,Lead the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures across audit areas, ensuring regulatory compliance.,Provide people management leadership, including performance management and continuous feedback.,Foster a positive and diverse work environment.
Over 10 years of relevant experience.,Undergraduate degree.,Relevant professional certifications and accounting designations.,Deep knowledge and understanding of business and organizational practices.,Strong understanding of industry and market trends.,Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion and high integrity.,Strong negotiation and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence business leaders.,Dynamic and collaborative leadership style.,Effective oral and written communication skills.,Ability to build relationships across teams and functions in a fast-changing environment.,Preferred: Financial Crime designations (CAMS, CFE, FIS, CFCS).,Strong knowledge of Financial Crimes regulations (AML, ATF, sanctions), FATF recommendations, and frameworks.,Strong knowledge of FINTRAC Guidelines and Interpretations, Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and Regulations, Criminal Code, and Sanctions Regulations.,Knowledge of Financial Crimes Governance, Reporting, Regulatory Compliance Management, Customer Due Diligence, Know Your Customer, Enhanced Due Diligence, Customer Risk Rating, Investigations, Sanctions, and Regulatory Reporting (LCTRs, EFTRs, TPRs, STRs).,Experience and proficiency in audit, monitoring and testing, quality assurance, and quality control.,Knowledge of financial products and services.,Understanding and proficiency of data management controls, information technology, models, and data analytics.
