Senior Associate / Vice President, Global Investment Banking, Communications & Data Infrastructure

Description

This role supports the Communications & Data Infrastructure vertical within RBC Capital Markets' Investment Banking Communications, Media & Entertainment team in New York. The position involves executing transactions, developing business presentations, managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and performing various financial analyses.

What We're Looking For

Execute transactions and develop business presentations.

Manage client meetings and foster client relationships.

Identify and pursue business opportunities.

Lead quantitative analyses (DCF, LBO, comparable multiples, M&A combination, credit analysis).

Monitor sector transactions, market activity, company financials, industry trends, regulatory developments, and economic conditions.

Collaborate with Associates and Analysts on pitch books and client materials.

Coordinate with other groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas.

Build RBC's presence in the Communications & Data Infrastructure sector.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree and top-tier MBA, MA, or MS (or equivalent advanced degree).

Minimum 5 years of Investment Banking experience.

Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling.

Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting.

Demonstrated senior presence and interpersonal maturity, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Highly motivated with ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Proficiency with personal computers and standard productivity applications.

Ability to take initiative and function independently balanced with strong teaming skills.

Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.

Maintains high standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Holds Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.

Minimum Education
