This is a key IT role within Wealth Management Technology & Solutions, Data Management and Integration team. The successful candidate will act as a Senior Application Specialist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Wealth Management Data applications. Responsibilities include leading maintenance initiatives, production support, data governance, and ensuring audit and compliance requirements. The role involves collaboration with IT and Business Partners to support business insights, strategy, and maintain application stability and growth.
Work closely with business clients to understand priorities and impact, providing timely and accurate reports to management and end-users on system processes. Proactively identify and resolve emerging issues, making recommendations for process improvements and enhancing system/support documentation. Ensure compliance with SLA metrics. Lead support-based initiatives. Actively participate in Agile development projects, ensuring compliance with RBC standards for security and audit, supporting System Integration testing, code promotions, and development efforts. Work on IT Risk deliverables, including DR exercises, planning, and design, and interact with auditors to ensure applications meet RBC IT Risk Standards. Lead a small team.
Must-have: Strong business domain understanding of Wealth-Management, excellent data analysis, solid background dealing with Wealth Management applications, ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking, manage deadlines while multi-tasking. Experience with custodianship of multiple applications including management of Enterprise requirements. Intermediate knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL. Superior relationship building, communication & presentation skills, organizational knowledge and leadership skills. Nice-to-have: Understanding of Trade Life Cycle and working experience with Front, Middle and Back office teams of Asset Management, Wealth Management, Portfolio Management, Brokerage Institutions, Prime Brokerage Services of various asset class such as Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Money Market Instrument and OTC Derivatives.
