The Senior Application Support Analyst will support Sophis and Valuation Management applications for the Equity Derivatives business, which are critical for overnight and intraday risk limits and valuations. Responsibilities include maintaining application stability and availability, overseeing continuous software releases, and supporting compute infrastructure and orchestration software (DataSynapse GRID) for pricing requests. The role also involves managing data quality from EOD Market Data and positions priced by the Model Library.
Quickly address issues impacting daily business functions (front office, middle office, back office)
Drive improved stability and data quality
Contribute to and improve ITRS monitoring platform configuration and action triggered events
Document and enhance existing documentation for known issues, coordinate remediation with various groups (Support, Development, Analytics, Quants)
Investigate and resolve pricing failures using SQL, Unix, Windows; automate processes with Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages
Engage in platform projects including vulnerability remediation, business continuity, and automation
Perform change and release practices for proprietary and vendor software deployment
Participate in weekend on-call rotation
Manage shift schedules (early: 8 AM – 5:30 PM EST, late: 10 AM – 7 PM EST)
3+ years' experience supporting applications on equity derivatives or other capital market products
3+ years' experience with SQL scripting
3+ years' experience working on Linux and Windows Server
1-2 years' experience with Python scripting
Monitoring experience of high availability trading applications, batch processing or similar
Job Scheduler experience (i.e. BMC Control-M, Autosys, Cron, etc.)
